12 months pub ban for man who killed wife...
A judge has told a Glasgow pensioner that stopping him going to the pub was a "more meaningful" sentence than a prison term for killing his wife.
Given that pub prices are more expensive, I tend to buy my drink from an off licence or supermarket. If this man does likewise, then the main purpose of the sentence is circumvented.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

Drinking at home infront of the TV is just not the same atmosphere for someone suffering from dementia. Who is there to threaten you with hospitality? Have you watched BBC 3, it is certainly not channel 4 of the old days!
