Diego Garcia: the UK's shame
Despite the denials, Britain is complicit in America's secret detentions on an Indian Ocean island
In both the UK and US the governments are supposed to be answerable to the electorate. It is not acceptable that they both claim ignorance in relation to torturing or facilitating torture.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
