Common spelling mistakes should be accepted into everyday use, not corrected, a lecturer has said.

An angry judge has branded a prosecution worker an "illiterate idiot" after spotting several spelling mistakes in an indictment.

Another example of 'excuses for Government's failure'. I am 60 and we were 'streamed' at school; the most disadvantaged could read and write the Queen's English. "Chalk, talk and streaming" worked.
Teachers are drowning in Government 'paperwork'; the losers are the children. SATS create unnecessary pressure, the tests being placed in the shambolic hands of an American company - complete waste of taxpayers money.
